These toner cartridges do not feature any kind of chip (non chipped) and if you choose to save even more money by purchasing compatible tn450 toners the manufacturer would have already reset the physical toner cartridge (usually a physical switch on the toner cartridge) if needed.
If you feel like saving even more and have the time you can even get a toner refills for the TN450 and TN420 laser cartridges though refilling toners can be messy and requires some research on how to do it properly, usually it’s easier just to go with compatible toners. The toner refills come in a bottle and it looks like fine black powder.
