The difference is LC61 is a standard cartridge and LC65 is a high yield cartridge.
This time brother in America produces two types of ink cartridges that fit the same inkjet printers, below we look at the different print capacities of these cartridges. As usual for best value I recommend usuing compatible cartridges.
Brother LC 61– capacity is 450 printed pages for lc61BK (Black), for color cyan (LC-61C) magenta (LC-61M) and yellow (LC61Y) the printed page capacity is only 325 pages.
Brothers LC 65 high yield – capacity is 900 printed pages for black (LC65HYBK) whilst cyan (LC65HYC), magenta (LC65HYM) and yellow (LC65HYY) provide 750 printed pages.
As usual you are going to save waste (and creating rubbish) buy getting yourself the LC65 cartridges, yes they will cost more but they also print double the amount of the LC61 ink cartridges whilst not being double the price so you save money. Click here to purchase LC65 cartridges.
Again these cartridges do not feature any kind of chip (non chipped) as they have been on the market for a few years (all new brother inkjet printers use chipped cartridges) so you are easily able to choose compatible cartridges and save a large amount of money compared to OEM cartridges if you choose (highly recommended).
In the USA or any other region that uses the same ink cartridge code you can simply do a quick google search and compare prices for the best deal or head to brothers site to get a list of genuine cartridge retailers.
